ATLAS

An international journey of discovery
told through 4 choreographies

Uppercut Danseteater’s latest production combines modern dance of the highest caliber with world-class break dance, physical theater, and performance. Get ready for unfiltered joy of dance.

ATLAS

is Uppercut Danseteater’s largest show in years. Six well trained male dancers and two exquisite prima donnas take the stage in the four choreographies making up ATLAS’ journey. From poetic solos to gravity defying break dance moves to Uppercut’s trademark slapstick comedy, ATLAS has it all.

ATLAS

is a visual feast set to an intense new score by Kristoffer Rosing-Schow. With effortless hips and unstoppable energy, ATLAS breaks down boundaries on its worldwide trip, where prejudices are proven wrong, and human relationships are explored and put to the test. Go off-road with ATLAS.

Seen in the press:

”...Uppercut Danseteater’s young dancers have dramatic nerve and charm in spades... (In the) short captivating dance film, Launch, .. a young mother takes her baby on a train ride, embarking on a life’s journey... Stephanie Thomasen interpreted the solo World Wide with feeling and courage... Bo Madvig then threw a surprise party in Scrambling with lots of wilds stunts, breaks, and a treasure hunt in the boys’ room... The finishing ensemble piece, The Discovery... served up an impressive orgy of break dance, rock, and show dance. It’s totally crazy, the way these boys dance their asses off! An impressive show for youth, nothing less. Respect!...”
Majbrit Hjelmsbo, Weekendavisen.
